Inspired by the tranquil simplicity of Norwegian barn houses and driven by our client’s vision for an energy-efficient home, our design revolves around a series of distinct volumes spread across three levels: basement, ground floor, and attic. Unified by a cohesive aesthetic and interconnected via a decorative metal structure that also serves as circulation pathways, these volumes create a harmonious architectural ensemble.
The intersection of these volumes gives rise to multiple interior courtyards teeming with lush vegetation, complemented by expansive glazed areas that enhance both comfort and natural light throughout. Upon entry, the first building features a well-appointed kitchen, dining areas, and accommodations. The subsequent building houses the living room, library, and kitchen with access to a shared basement, fostering a seamless flow between private and communal spaces. Read more
