The project involves the creation of a single-story residence designed for a family of four. Considering that the purchased plot offers a generous opening toward the forest on the southeast side, one of the main requirements of the beneficiaries was that each room should have a view of the forest.
To address this, we proposed a volumetric composition consisting of three distinct units, each with specific functions: the children’s sleeping area, the central living area, and the parents’ sleeping area. The largest glazed surfaces are strategically oriented towards the east, south, and west, ensuring optimal natural lighting throughout the day. Read more
The connection between the interior and exterior spaces is achieved through a generous terrace and a gazebo equipped with a summer kitchen, harmoniously integrated with a flexible wooden pergola structure.
The proposed volumetry resulted in the delineation of the outdoor spaces into three distinct courtyards: the main courtyard, oriented toward the forest; the crafts courtyard, located in front of the house, connected to the storage area and annexes; and the aromatic plant courtyard, situated near the kitchen.
The house features a laminated timber structure with isolated footings, while the roof consists of a pitched system with two or more slopes, finished with flat folded sheet metal.
In terms of materiality, the central volume, housing the living area, stands out with its flat folded sheet metal finish, lending it a modern and refined appearance. The other two volumes have a warmer aesthetic, predominantly finished with wooden cladding and slatted elements, creating a balanced contrast.
